The Sims 3 for Wii: An Avalanche of FAIL

I've been waiting for the sims 3 to come out for Wii for 2 years. I pre-ordered it and when I finally played it, I felt ripped off to an unprecedented degree. Now, the other Sims games for Nintendo platforms were glitchy, they even froze constantly and crashed the system from time to time, but THIS game is totally useless! It doesn't seem to work on my Wii at ALL. Yes, the game will run... SORT OF... but there are endless, unbelievable glitches that make playing it a nightmare, and my Wii constantly makes noises like it is desperately straining itself just trying to run the game! Also, the glitches are impossible to work around!

For example, sometimes when I invite a sim over, the sim I want to interact with is INVISIBLE! Sometimes the house itself doesn't load properly or AT ALL. Worst of all, I can't even place houses on the lots because it says I'm over the "fire code" even though the houses are EMPTY and I cleaned out my moving storage, too! What's the point of this game if I can't even upgrade the stupid houses they force you to use? These are just a handful of examples, because I lost count after 1 day of trying to play it. The glitches and malfunctions and problems with gameplay were evident after only an hour or two of playing. EA released this game in order to make money during this holiday season, but the game was NOT READY. It doesn't even WORK! I idiotically threw out my receipt or I would return it TODAY. EA/Nintendo need to give customers a working game or refund our money, as they did with other glitchy games. How can they get away with selling a product that malfunctions to such an extent that it is utterly useless? What gall! All Sims 3 games for Wii should be recalled and pulled off the shelves until they can make a game that works!

I can not tell you how frustrated, shocked, and disappointed I am. Did they seriously think no one would notice that the game won't play anywhere near to an acceptable level on the Wii? Did the discussion go something like "Hmm, the Sims 3 is only 1/25th of the way through testing and development... maybe we should delay its release." "No, we need to get it on the shelves before Christmas 2010! Think of all the profits we'll miss out on if we don't! We'll just have to release it as is." "But, sir, the game doesn't work..." "It doesn't need to work, it just needs to SELL!"

So, BUYER BEWARE. They shoved this game out when it should be in development for AT LEAST another 9 months! What a rip-off!!! Unbelievable! And before you ask, yes, my wii is updated and should run this disc. I can't believe they have the nerve to charge people $50 for this! This is the worst, most disappointing gaming experience I've ever had, and I'm a survivor of the Metroid Prime 2 Main Research room glitch. Ugh!! Get it right for once Nintendo / EA Games!!!
